Prop 8. has once again been ruled unconstitutional by the 9th District Court of Appeals. Yay! Of course, this isn’t the end. Our opposition will take this as far as they can and we will be headed to the Supreme Court next. Experts say it’s going to be a close, split decision which will likely come down to one judge, Anthony Kennedy. As far as if the stay will get lifted, I’m thinking no. But surprises are wonderful.
I wanted to share my favorite quote from the courts ruling…it’s really all that needs to be said, “Proposition 8 served no purpose, and had no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California”.
