February 12th is national "Freedom to Marry" day. Marriage Equality USA chapters are organizing groups to raise awareness at your local court houses. To find an event near you or to learn more about the day CLICK HERE.
For those of you who cannot participate in those efforts due to work, etc. we have organized a candlelight vigil/protest for that evening. The vigil will be held in Visalia on the corner of Mooney Blvd. and Walnut by In & Out Burger (the most visible location). We will meet from 5:00 pm – 7:00pm. Please bring blankets or chairs to sit in, candles and appropriate signs for marriage equality. We would like to have a simple, peaceful demonstration to raise awareness for equal human rights. The fight is not over by any means and we certainly aren’t going anywhere. Show your support and dedication, join us Thursday February 12th.
