Gay Visalia’s 2nd Annual Holiday Toy Drive
This year I am proud to announce that the Visalia Pride Lions Club is joining forces with me to help make this year even more succesful than last year. Once again, we will get collecting toys for children who are in the Tulare County Foster Care System, which currently is about 1600. For some, this may be the highlight of their year.
We will be collecting toys through December 2nd and delivering the toys to Social Services on Friday, December 3rd. This means we only have a month to collect as many toys as possible. The hardest ages for them to fill are 13-18. It would be great to concentrate on these ages but of course, any toy received will be greatly appreciated. Some suggestions for teens are: Gift Cards, Journals, Backpacks, Make-up sets, Cologne/Perfume gift sets, small electronics like MP3 players, purses, etc. If you are unable to shop or uncertain what to buy you can always make a cash donation and we will do the shopping for you.
