RENT starts today in Visalia and runs through the 31st. The play is produced by Fourth Wall Theatre Company and is being performed at the Enchanted Playhouse on Main Street. Proceeds will benefit local HIV/AIDS charities.
Based on Puccini’s opera La boheme, RENT was a Broadway hit for 12 years until it’s closing in 2008. The play follows the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
