The Laramie Project and you!

Laramie

Hopefully you already know that Gay Central Valley is hosting THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER. It is a follow up to the original play about the tragic loss of Matthew Shepard. For those slim few who might not know who he is; he was a teen from Laramie Wyoming, who’s life was ended by a hate crime. You can read more about him and the wonderful foundation this horrific tragedy brought to life, by clicking the link below.

The play is being held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno (The Big Red Church) on June 16th & 17th. You can purchase tickets online or get more show information by clicking HERE. It is a wonderful opportunity to have such a great play come to the valley in support of OUR local community!

The greatness just doesn’t stop there, not only do we get the chance to raise awareness, but we get to raise funds as well. All proceeds benefit Gay Central Valley and the Fresno LGBT Community Center so we can continue to provide support, programs and outreach to all of YOU! Another way to help out, since you’ll already be in town for the play (wink wink), is to attend the after-party being hosted by The North Tower Circle. There will be special drag performances, drink specials, a 50/50 raffle and you can meet the cast of THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER. Not to mention, meeting your GCV leaders, partaking in some beverages and maybe even a little booty shaking. I want to thank you in advance for your support of these endeavors. Being an official 501(c)(3) organization, we are completely funded by SUPER FANTASTIC people like you! Thanks again and I can’t wait to see you all in June!
